Intromediate Seminars
Intromediate Seminars offer efficient, accessible inroads to beginning and/or continued study of the pulse. These day-long seminars are designed to be an intensive immersion for practitioner-folk who are wanting more practical ways to integrate what Shen-Hammer pulse diagnosis has to offer their practices. As a participant, you’ll spend an entire day receiving guidance in the essential skills of Shen-Hammer Pulse Diagnosis. If you’d prefer a more Comprehensive Introduction to the pulse, check out our 4-day Introductory Seminars.
Course objectives vary by seminar, but include the following:
Refining your palpation of pulse positions and qualities
Calibrating you to the nine pulse depths
Honing your identification of qualities, co-occurring qualities, and waveforms
Mentoring you in more comprehensive interpretation of patients’ pulse records
Walking you through short-term, mid-range, and long-term treatment planning
Curriculum and Materials Provided
Intromediate Seminars are primarily hands-on events. We start the day with a brief introduction to a particular aspect of the pulse, then we dive into applying that frame of reference to the palpation of fellow participants’ pulses. We follow this up with broader didactic information that you’ll then get to apply while palpating the pulses of patient volunteers. We end the day with succinct interpretations of patient cases and a question and answer session.
When you sign up for an Intromediate, we’ll send you a video introduction to the topics we’ll be covering. We’ll also send you relevant course materials such as intake forms, pulse records, reference materials, and/or articles that introduce you to the didactic material we’ll be covering in the seminar.
